No wonder Kenji was constantly on the verge of a breakdown in this novel, the poor boy was carrying the whole story on his back! How does her mind come up with such lyrical sentences?Īlso, let me say that I really liked Kenji in this book. I had forgotten how atmospheric and beautiful it was.
I am very glad about it because this novel was nothing at all like anything I could have possibly imagined.įirst, let me start with the good and say that I love Tahereh's writing. I didn't know what I was getting into and had no idea how it was gonna all turn out. I literally expected nothing from this novel.
But no, I guess life is not in fact, good.įirst, I gotta admit, my hopes for this book were pretty gosh darn low. Life would have been good if it had ended with Ignite Me. This series should have remained a trilogy.
